Contemporary jewellery by Lamcy 藍秋燕
An obsession with blue and a passion to provide creative and versatile jewellery, sparked a frequent traveller’s accessories design career. Lamcy 藍秋燕 aspires to provide simple, unique mix and match styles that stand out, regardless of the occasion. Each Lamcy 藍秋燕 original is handmade and hand painted, ensuring each piece has its own story and personality: A shade of blue, views out of a Tuscan window, Ho Chi Minh City’s frenetic cables, a tile in the ancient monte Napoleone’s edifices. All jewellery pieces are created from the travel stories from the designer and founder of the brand – Lam Chau Yin.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lam Chau Yin was first inspired to make jewellery in 2012 when she moved to Bali. In an effort to live for herself and release her innate creativity, she studied jewellery design and metalsmithing in Florence in 2015 and immersed herself in the joy of handcrafting. Finally, she started her brand in 2017 when she moved to Ho Chi Minh City.
While she maintains an organic and contemporary style for the jewellery, each piece is carefully crafted. Her first collection was a series of interchangeable and stackable rings that can be worn as rings and pendants. The idea is to allow everyone to have different options when wearing the pieces, depending on their mood.
Her new collection, which will release in spring 2018, will continue to feature her signature blue and explore different possibilities of geometric shapes. Apart from commercial jewellery, Lam Chau Yin also works on bespoke artist jewelleries. Her latest designs will be presented by Artistar Jewels Exhibition in Milan during fashion week in spring 2018. .
